Bio.

COACH JOE KENNEDY.

COACH JOE KENNEDY’S quiet post-game prayer on the 50 yard line at Bremerton High School sparked a national legal battle. Suspended and later fired for his silent act of faith, Kennedy refused to back down, arguing that banning prayer simply because it is visible violates the Constitution. His case climbed through the courts, finally landing at the U.S. Supreme Court. Against the odds, Kennedy emerged victorious in 2022, winning a major decision for religious freedom. His inspiring story of standing up for his convictions is recorded in his autobiographical book, Average Joe, which led to a feature length film by the same title that debuted in theaters in October 2024.
